In this new version, some packages from the earlier version has been
removed. Notable amongst them is GIMP and the printing tools.
Some of the main Packages of Luit Linux are :
1. XFCE-4 Desktop Window
Manager (v4.0.4) : The beauty of Luit Linux rests solely on the XFCE-4
Desktop Environment. As has been rightly said by the XFCE-4 people
that "with XFCE - the mouse flies and everything goes faster". It is
really fast in comparison to GNOME and KDE.
- It is small and fast and looks great.
- It has a very user friendly menu that can be
changed easily by the user
- The XFCE -4 Panel gives access to all
frequently required Programs at the click of the mouse.
- Sound settings can be controlled from the
Panel
- Includes the XFFM file browser
- And lots features that has still to be
included
This new
version also includes the XFCE calendar, which can also be used as a
Scheduler.
